Stand By Request
Montclair Ambulance Unit provides coverage at stand by events on a case-by-case basis (Coverage for the Township of Montclair supersedes any stand by request).
All stand by requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of a coverage date.
A late request fee of $100.00 will be charged if requests are made less than two weeks before a coverage date.
One (1) EMT & First Responder Vehicle
One (1) certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) equipped with all Basic Life Support (BLS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and BLS medications.
One (1) Ambulance staffed with two (2) EMTs
One (1) NJ State Licensed and Inspected BLS Ambulance staffed with two (2) certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) with all Basic Life Support (BLS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), BLS Medications, and transport capability
Alternative Support Apparatus(ASAP) staffed with two (2) EMTs
The ASAP off-road ambulance features a fully enclosed, all aluminum patient compartment that secures a full-size cot and seating for up to two attendants and a driver. Staffed with two (2) certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) with all Basic Life Support (BLS) medical equipment including an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), BLS Medications.
**NOT TRANSPORT CAPABLE, AN AMBULANCE IS REQUIRED AS WELL**
One (1) EMS Supervisor
One (1) certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Supervisor.
**Required for all coverage requesting two (2) or more assets to maintain command and control of EMS services. **
EMS Staging & Command Trailer
Mobile Command Center with power generation, scene lighting, HVAC, WiFi, computers, printers, radios, weather stations, and office setup that can be used as a command center, staging asset, and/or medical treatment/rehab area.
