On-Site & Station Tours
Montclair Ambulance Unit provides scheduled in-person tours of our facility, a historic 1906 Firehouse repurposed as an EMS station. We also gladly provide on-site visits and ambulance tours to community organizations, schools, and scouting organizations. It is requested to have at minimum two weeks notice for an on-site or tour for your organization.
Montclair Ambulance Unit is a non-profit and provides these tours free of charge. Our staff are paid employees and donations are appreciated and encouraged for the time spent providing tours.
Station Tours
Have you ever wondered where your ambulance comes from? What the crews do prior or after they respond to an emergency or leave the hospital?
The Montclair Ambulance Unit always welcomes having family, school, or scouting organizations come take a scheduled tour of our station.
This tour will go over the history of the department, how the department operates, and a full tour of the building and ambulances.
Ambulances may have to leave to go on 911 emergencies.
MAU is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and provides these tours free of charge, but donations for our paid professional staff's time are always appreciated and encouraged.
On-Site Ambulance Tours
Have you ever wanted to see the inside of an ambulance without calling 911? This is the easiest way to do that!
The Montclair Ambulance Unit will bring an ambulance to your organizations' place of business or event to provide tours of the ambulance as well as general education about the emergency medical services system.
Subject to ambulance availability. MAU reserves the right to substitute an ambulance with an ASAP (off-road ambulance support vehicle) depending on the needs of the organization.
